Chungo Creek Outfitters base camp is located NW of the town of Nordegg Alberta. The camp is situated overlooking the junction of the Blackstone and the Wapiabi Rivers. This is a rustic camp with log cabins nestled in tall pine trees. The cabins come complete with pots, pans, dishes, stoves, BBQ, fire pit, etc.

Each cabin sleeps four people in a double bed size bunk arrangement. There is also plenty of room nearby for those that also wish to set up a sleeping tent if there is more than four people in a group. All you need is food, your favorite pillow and a sleeping bag for a relaxing visit. Washrooms and shower facilities are located nearby to the cabins.

From this camp there is plenty of hiking, fishing, and sight seeing to do. You can also make arrangements to do hourly or even day long horseback rides. Horses and trails are suited for all levels of rider from absolute beginner to expert .

Chungo Creek Outfitters also offers back country pack trips. We have strategically located camps set up in an area that is off limit to motorized vehicles. This provides the setting for an outstanding adventure in a pristine and beautiful area of the Rocky Mountains.

You stay in comfortable outfitter tents and enjoy fantastic food while you take day trips to interesting and scenic areas of the Blackstone/Wapiabi Forest Land Use Zone. While in the mountains you can enjoy other activities such as hiking, fishing, photography, wildlife viewing or just plain relaxing. And of course there is always plenty of campfire action as well.
