Mountain Hunts And Trail Rides

Mountain weather can be very extreme. In June, July, and August temperature ranges can be from 0 to +85F. Sept, Oct, Nov temperatures range from -25F to +75 F. You can have rain, snow, hail, wind, and fantastic blue skies all in one day.

IN THE SUMMER MONTHS you are advised to bring:

  • Blue jeans, tee shirt, western style shirt, wind breaker
  • Riding boots (packer style), hiking boots, socks (cotton blend or wool)
  • Hat, neckerchief, denim or outback style lined jacket, gloves
  • Bring along good quality rain gear, chaps (if you have them), an extra jogging suit, sweater or thermal underwear to relax in or for use under your jacket if you start to feel cold
  • Sleeping bag rated for -10F FOR LATE SEASON(Sept. onwards)
  • Felt pack boots, thermal socks, wool pants(we wear King of the Mountain) and outer clothing capable of protecting you in severe wind and cold, insulated gloves or mitts
  • Sleeping bag rated for -45F
