Chungo Creek Outfitters is a family owned/operated hunting/fishing and trail ride operation located northwest from the town of Nordegg, Alberta.

Nestled against the eastern boundary of Jasper National Park this is home to excellent populations of Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep, Moose, Elk, Mule Deer, Whitetail Deer, Wolves, Bears and other mammals. The fishing (trout) is fantastic as well. The scenery in this area is unsurpassed any where in the world.

Looking for  that special vacation getaway. You know the one you've always wanted to take.  A pack trip in the wilderness, capture that special hunting trophy, go on a wild horse roundup, fish the ultimate mountain lake or stream, sneak off for a romantic getaway, it's all here for you.

At Chungo Creek we have a base camp complete with horse handling facilities and cabins that we rent. Hourly horseback rides are conducted throughout the summer and cabins are used by hunters, hikers, fishermen, snowmobilers, cross-country skiers, snowshoers and folks just interested in quiet and relaxing times.

During the summer we conduct high country horse pack trips. Most of our horse pack trips are into or near an area known as the Blackstone /Wapiabi Forest Land Use Zone. This is a vast area (160 sq.miles) that is designated as off limits to motorized vehicles. This provides an excellent opportunity for people to truly experience horses, pack strings and nature in its entire splendor.

Camps are set in strategic locations to provide access to various interesting and scenic areas. The tent camps are very comfortable and come complete with foam mattresses, cots, wood stoves, excellent food, showers etc.

For those that are not interested in the hunting aspect of our operation we conduct trail rides at different times than the hunts (trail rides during the summer and hunts during the fall.) Trail rides can be booked during the fall upon request subject to the availability of guides.
